Anthony Bourdain visited his food joint in 2008 and tasted the speciality dishes like Baida Roti, Chicken Roll, Nan Sandwich, Bheja (Goat’s Brain) in Butter and Spices and he was awestruck by it. He said that, he has never eaten such delicious Bhejain his whole life of travelling.

In 2009 Alam registered his food joint in the name of JILANI FAST FOOD CORNER. The motto of his food joint is Tickle Your Taste Buds.

In 2013 Kunal Vijaykar arrived at his food joint as a Host of the show FOODIE which is aired on Times Now channel. He enjoyed himself and relished the food that Alam served.

Alam had got nominated for this on the show FOODIE AWARDS and was awarded the BEST TAVA KING and the award was given to him at the awards ceremony held at ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton located at Andheri on 10th March, 2014 by Rashmi Uday Singh. This was the highlight of Alam’s life as he knew that God has been really kind and had awarded him for his efforts in serving the people and also made him realize that he needs to work more harder to live up to the tag of TAVA KING.
