Alam's father Shahbuddin started a small food joint in Bori Mohalla in the year 1986 . Alam started helping him when he was just 9 years old in the year 1987 .
His father is a very simple but a principle based man . His motto in life is, ``Never Compromise On Quality no matter what ``. For him every customer is the same; he never differentiated between customers and it did not matter if the customer was rich or poor he would give them the best service that he could provide...

Been here during the Ramadan period. It was packed fully and people literally had to wait to get a seat. Ordered the chicken cheese baida roti. It was surely the best meal had during a long time. The naan sandwich and the chick roll though weren't that impressive.

Jilani fast food corner is in one of the bylanes of Byculla very close to Mohammed Ali Road. There is a small Tawa cum kitchen in front of you. There are chairs for customers but no tables and hence you have to eat holding the plate in your hand or keeping it on the counter. The food isn't much to right home about, there is your standard Mughlai paratha which is very oily. Their chicken pav is quite decent, medium spicy with soft tender chicken.
